Named Storms In 2024. When a tropical storm in the atlantic ocean grows beyond a certain point, it becomes a hurricane. Members of the public are being asked to help choose of one of the possible storm names for the 2024/25 season.
One of the names on this year’s list is the oldest. Storm activity so far this season is actually running ahead of average, despite the recent hiatus.
